Mission Memory Maker is a restorative program designed to help January 6th defendants and their families reconnect emotionally through fully funded family vacations. For many, years of incarceration created deep relational wounds—especially among children and spouses who went without in-person contact for extended periods.

Why It Matters

In the D.C. jail, visitation was denied for nearly two years, meaning many families never had the chance to embrace their loved ones. We believe that healing requires intentional time, space, and opportunity to reconnect—and sometimes, that means stepping away from the stress of everyday life to just be together again.

What’s Included

Each trip is tailored for healing and bonding.
Families receive:

Fully funded transportation and lodging

We take care of all travel arrangements and accommodation costs, so families don’t have to worry about logistics or finances. Whether it's airfare, hotel stays, or ground transportation, everything is covered to ensure a seamless and stress-free experience.

Fun, family-focused experiences

Each trip includes meaningful and uplifting activities designed to help families create joyful memories together—things like theme park visits, beach outings, scenic excursions, or other bonding adventures based on the family's interests and needs.

Time to reflect, rest, and reconnect

These trips offer a rare and sacred space away from the noise and pressure of daily life. Families are given the opportunity to simply be present with one another, rebuilding emotional connection through rest, quality time, and shared experiences.

Optional counseling or debrief sessions

For those who want additional support, we offer access to professional counselors or trauma-informed facilitators who can help families process what they’ve endured and strengthen their emotional resilience during this time of healing.

We are now accepting applications from January 6th defendants who spent more than 1,000 days incarcerated.
