SERVICES & PROGRAMS
At Stand in the Gap, we believe that true restoration begins where incarceration ends. Our comprehensive programs are thoughtfully designed to address the practical, emotional, and spiritual needs of former January 6th defendants and their families, both during and after their time in the justice system. Rooted in compassion, dignity, and an unwavering belief in second chances, our initiatives provide a lifeline of support—from immediate relief to long-term reintegration. We stand with those who have endured unimaginable challenges, helping them rebuild their lives with purpose and hope.
Rebuilding lives means looking beyond the sentence to restore dignity, foster healing, and empower individuals to reclaim their future.

Health Insurance Assistance
For nearly four years, many former January 6th defendants endured limited or no access to adequate healthcare while incarcerated. Upon release, the need for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision care is critical to their recovery and well-being. We are dedicated to connecting former defendants with health insurance plans to ensure access to mental health support, routine medical care, dental treatments, and vision services.
Wellness Retreat
The journey to healing after incarceration is deeply personal and often fraught with challenges like trauma, isolation, and societal stigma. Our Wellness Retreat program offers a transformative, safe haven for former January 6th defendants to restore their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Through holistic wellness practices, community-building activities, and purpose-driven workshops, this retreat is tailored to address the unique stressors and anxieties faced by these American patriots.
Peer Support Group
Healing is stronger in community. Our Steadfast Sanctuary is a private, weekly peer support group exclusively for former January 6th defendants, led by a fellow former defendant who understands their unique experiences. This confidential space offers a lifeline for participants to share their stories, confront challenges like trauma and stigma, and find practical strategies for reintegration. With guided discussions on topics such as mental health, rebuilding relationships, and rediscovering purpose, Steadfast Sanctuary fosters a sense of camaraderie, hope, and empowerment.

Through partnerships with counselors, recovery specialists, and community resources, we provide the tools and support needed to foster healthy coping strategies and sustainable life changes.
