RE-ENTRY
We are dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate the challenging process of re-entry into society after being incarcerated. We understand that being incarcerated takes a toll on all aspects of one's life, and we are here to provide assistance and support during this critical transition period.
THE ROAD HOME PROJECT: A PATH TO RENEWAL
At Stand in the Gap, we understand the immense challenges faced by January 6th defendants, especially upon their release. While we remain hopeful that the next administration will grant pardons, the reality is that many defendants have already lost everything—homes, vehicles, retirement savings, assets, and even personal relationships.
The Road Home Project is a life-changing initiative designed to help individuals reintegrate into society by providing safe and stable transitional housing. In partnership with a serene Texas bed and breakfast, we are building a community where healing and hope come together. At Stand in the Gap, we believe that everyone deserves a second chance, and through your generosity, we can offer a helping hand to those seeking to rebuild their lives.
Our Mission is more than just housing—it’s about rebuilding lives and offering individuals the support, community, and resources they need to succeed. Together, we can create a peaceful environment where people can heal and rediscover their potential.
This project is divided into three key phases, each critical to the success and sustainability of the community we are building.
Phase 1: Foundation and Seed Funding
Our initial focus is securing seed funding to lay the groundwork. This includes:
-
Building infrastructure for five tiny homes
-
Roads and utilities to support the property
-
Construction planning to ensure future growth
Your support in this phase is crucial for setting the stage for the homes and other amenities we plan to offer.
Phase 2: Building Homes & Resources
Phase 2 focuses on expanding our community and adding essential resources. This includes:
-
Three Tiny Homes: Each home provides safety and privacy for individuals as they begin their journey back into society.
-
Living Suites: Two fully equipped suites for additional housing.
-
Greenhouse: For sustainable food production and an opportunity for residents to engage in therapeutic, meaningful work.
Phase 3: Community Development & Wellness
Creating a holistic community that nurtures both the body and spirit is central to our vision. This phase includes:
-
Walking and Hiking Trails: Connecting residents to nature and promoting physical health
-
Livestock Development: Supporting sustainability and providing life skills
-
Meditation and Healing Areas by the Creek: A peaceful space for reflection, healing, and emotional well-being.

Support one resident’s work on the property, helping them gain valuable skills, earn an income, and contribute to the community.
Adams ($10,000): Provide Transportation
Ensure a resident has the means to travel to work or important appointments by covering transportation costs or helping them obtain a starter vehicle.
Franklin ($5,000): Support Living Expenses
Help cover the cost of utilities, food, and other essentials for a resident, giving them peace of mind as they transition into independence.
Hamilton ($2,500): Provide Clothing and Initial Needs
Ensure each resident has clothing, bedding, and other essential items to start their journey.
